Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol (EVOH) is a high-performance copolymer made from ethylene and vinyl alcohol units. It does not have a single fixed molecular formula, as it is a statistical copolymer, but its structure is based on repeating CHCH and CHCH(OH) units. It appears as a white to off-white thermoplastic resin. It is insoluble in water and most organic solvents, but it is sensitive to moisture absorption. It is stable under normal processing conditions.
