Sodium silicate liquid, also known as water glass, is an inorganic compound with the general formula NaSiO (varying ratios of NaO and SiO in solution). It appears as a clear to slightly cloudy, viscous alkaline liquid. It is highly soluble in water and strongly alkaline in nature, with good adhesive and binding properties.
